Sara Wyn Kane has devoted the past 10 years to fighting for Civil Rights and against Employment Discrimination. Her approach is to combine her knowledge of the law with a caring, honest way of advising clients. While, not one to shy away from a fight, if there is a way to resolve an issue amicably, Ms. Kane will do what she can to find it. After participating in 100’s of settlement discussions and mediations, Ms. Kane is always advocating that parties come to the table to discuss how to work together to help both sides put the dispute behind them as expeditiously as possible.
Ms. Kane honed her litigation skills while working as an Assistant Corporation Counsel, in the Manhattan Trial Unit for the City of New York. While defending the City’s employees and the City itself, Ms. Kane conducted and defended hundreds of depositions, participated in extensive motion practice, pre-trial and trial work.
While she thoroughly enjoyed working for the City of New York, Ms. Kane felt it was time to move into an area of the law where she could work closely with clients and help them deal with the struggles and hardships associated with employment discrimination claims and civil rights. Thus, Ms. Kane went to work for Leeds Morelli & Brown, P.C. where she was given that opportunity, and where she was able to work with clients and adversary’s in resolving many cases through alternative dispute resolutions.
It was a natural progression for Ms. Kane to partner with Mr. Valli & Mr. Vagnini to form Valli Kane & Vagnini LLP, where they have been able to combine their varying styles and experience into a firm that prides itself on working hard to represent their clients in the kindest, most vociferous way possible.
